The Coxy Cup
Saturday 16th May 2026 The annual Coxy Cup event between Cardiff Yacht Club and Newport Uskmouth Saling Club will take place on 16th May 2026. The event this year is being organised by CYC. The race will start and finish at CYC (PYC start line). Start time: 11.00 BST Byron handicaps will be used. First 3 boats from each club to count. Berthing will be available at CYC on Friday and Saturday nights for NUSC boats. Food and drink will be available on Saturday at the clubhouse. Welcome to Cardiff Yacht Club
Cardiff Yacht Club is a thriving yacht club that was originally founded in Cardiff in 1900. Today, the club is centrally located on the edge of Cardiff Bay, overlooking the Wetlands Nature Reserve, with panoramic views over the Bay and the Bristol Channel beyond.
We have about 300 yachts and motorboats permanently moored our pontoons in the freshwater bay. There are over 50 dinghies in the club and we have a fully equipped boat yard with boat hoist and telehandler
