CYC Visitor Information
We invite visitors from other clubs to pay us a visit, and enjoy all that Cardiff Bay has to offer. We do not charge our visitors, but do ask that guests support our club by making use of our bar. There’s no need to book, but you may need to raft on busy weekends. We are able to accommodate vessels up to 36 ft in length, 12ft beam and maximum draft of 2m.
We have toilets and showers available to visitors when club members are present to unlock the access doors – normally during the daylight hours. The club is usually a busy place but please bear in mind that if you arrive late you may find everything locked up.
The photo above shows the visitor area with the bridge that joins the pontoons to the land and path to the club house.
Visitors should be aware that if they leave the compound they may not be able to enter the locked compound without the assistance of a club member to unlock gates.
Please be aware that discharging tanks or heads into the bay is strictly forbidden.
Directions by boat
To enter our visitors area, once through the Barrage locks, make for the mouth of the River Taff under the high elevated road section. Then turn to Starboard once past our trot moorings, passing between ‘B’ and ‘C’ pontoons. You should see the view in the photo directly above, at this point. Once past the length of ‘B’ pontoon make another turn to Starboard to enter the visitors area shown in the photo at the top of this page.
